Who's getting the glory?

God is so AWESOME!!!  I have been in such a slump the past few months and finally I am starting to come out of it.  This is not by my own doing at all ....every bit of glory and recognition belong to Christ!  As I read today in Acts chapter 19 I laughed out loud literally at this passage.  Acts 19:13-16  ¹³ Some Jews went around driving out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus to set free those who were controlled by demons. They said, "In Jesus' name I command you to come out. He is the Jesus that Paul is preaching about." ¹⁴ Seven sons of Sceva were doing this. Sceva was a Jewish chief priest. ¹⁵ One day the evil spirit answered them, "I know Jesus. And I know about Paul. But who are you?" ¹⁶ Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on Sceva's sons. He overpowered them all. He gave them a terrible beating. They ran out of the house naked and bleeding.  
   So these Jews are going around trying their hand at what Paul has been called and annointed by Jesus to do.  Their hearts aren't right with Jesus they aren't doing it to bring glory to him nope its all about them.  They put Jesus's name on it to make it seem crediable but in their hearts if it worked they would not have given glory to the King of Kings!  So what happened the demons called them out! haha  Even demons know about Jesus and they new the works he was doing in Paul, yet they look at these jokers and say who in the heck are you? They then beat them until they were naked and bloody!  Yet they were allowed to live and the word spread and through that people were saved.  In the end who got the glory? JESUS!!!  Wow!!! even when these people were out for selfishness God turned it around to bring glory to His name!
   So the point is that no matter what we do in life we should always WHOLE heartdly be bringing glory to God.  If you're not even when you stick his name on it if your heart isn't where it should be he will call you out on it.  He will use others to call you out or even non believers yep prepare yourself.  In the end He will get the glory!  I myself would rather give it to him than for him to have to take it from me you know!  I have things to work on and I have selfishness to rid myself of or to ask him to rid me of!  May our lives always point people to Christ!  Don't be like these fools it's not about us we are merely blessed enough to be a small part of the big picture!!!
